Pevely, MO (August 11, 2007) Hot temperatures led to some hot racing action at I-55 Raceway. Randy Korte of Highland, IL scorched the field in the UMP DIRTcar Late Model division. Korte led all twenty-five laps of the main event that was marred by a tremendous four car crash on lap two right in front of the flag stand on the front straight away. Don Klein, Darren Forrest, Brad White and Matt Santel were involved in the crash. Brad White and Matt Santel both escaped uninjured but Don Klein and Darren Forrest were taken out of the track by ambulance. Klein walked to the ambulance and Forrest was alert but was put on a backboard. After the race was restarted Korte took command and held off several brief challenges from Danny Haynes before the race was slowed again when Michael Kloos experienced a hard crash as he went head on into the turn three wall. Kloos was not injured but the same couldn't be said for his car. On the restart, Haynes once again challenged Korte for the top spot but Korte would separate himself from Haynes and pulled away to take the victory. Haynes finished second with Billy Faust taking third. Jeff Johns took the fourth spot with Kyle Steffens rounding out the top five.

The UMP DIRTcar Modifieds provided the fans with an incredible race with four cars battling for the led over the final seven laps. Mark Miner led most of the event. Miner was challenged early by Dennis Richards before a host of other drivers moved in to battle for the top spot. Bobby Bittle and Doug Wood moved in to fight for the top spot and then soon, Scott Weber, who started twenty-fifth, moved into the top five. As the laps began to wind down, Miner, Bittle, Wood and Weber were the top four cars and they put on a super race to the finish. Bittle got under Miner and took the top spot with only two laps remaining, but Weber was riding the rim around the top making it nearly three wide for the lead. Bittle would cross the line first with Miner squeaking by in the second spot and Weber settled for third. Wood would finish in the fourth spot with Ricky Horton completing the top five.

The UMP DIRTcar Sportsman division main event ended in spectacular fashion as Troy Medley passed the first and second place cars coming out of turn four on the final lap to take the victory. Ronnie Bader led the first fourteen laps but had a classic battle with Troy Naeger for the lead as the two battled side-by-side lap after lap. Medley moved to the high side as Bader and Naeger fought for the lead on the low side. Medley found a fast line up top and stormed passed Bader and Naeger out of turn four to take the checkered flag. Bader held on to second with Naeger third. Kent Nations took fourth with Jeff Herzog fifth.

Chris Fisher took the win in the UMP/AARA Pro 4 Stock division. Gary Price led the first seven laps before Fisher found his way past for the lead. Tim Hoffman would take third as he crossed the line behind Price. Travis Pennington was fourth with Adam Shields completing the top five.
