Pevely, MO (May 23, 2009) Randy Korte of Highland, Illinois claimed his third UMP Super Late Model victory of the 2009 season at I-55 Raceway. Pole sitter Craig Smith took the lead at the drop of the green flag and fought off a barrage of challenges for the first fifteen laps. Billy Faust rocketed to the front from his eighth starting spot to challenge Smith at lap seven, but after taking the lead briefly, Faust began to fade back. Korte then moved in to challenge Smith and the two raced side-by-side for a couple of laps before Korte took over the top spot for good. A few laps later, Smith's bad luck at I-55 Raceway continued as his right rear tire went flat while running second. That turned over the second spot to Ed Dixon who mounted a challenge on Korte in the closing laps, but he would come up short and settle for a second place finish. Billy Laycock would take third with Tim Ratajczyk finishing fourth and Tim Manville completed the top five.

Pevely, MO (May 16, 2009) Tim Manville had never won a UMP DIRTcar Super Late Model feature event before the start of the 2009 racing season, now he has two feature wins in the first five events at I-55 Raceway! Manville, from Highland, Illinois, took the lead at the drop of the green flag from his front row outside starting position and opened up a lead of several car lengths over second place Randy Korte who battled past Ed Dixon for the second spot. However, Korte would quickly reel in Manville as they reached lapped traffic. As the lapped traffic got heavier, Korte was able to move up to the middle of the track and move past Manville as he was slowed by a lapped car. Korte would then pull away to a lead of several car lengths through traffic but Manville as the lapped traffic varied, Manville was able to catch Korte again. Then, as the race began to wind down, Manville would make the exact same move that Korte made on him earlier in the event as he went to the middle of the track to move past Korte as he was held up by lapped traffic. A late caution would set the field for a one lap shootout with Manville out front and Korte in second. Manville would pull away on the restart and go on to victory with Korte finishing second. Dixon would take home a solid third place finish with Tim Ratajczyk taking fourth. Jeff Johns completed the top five.

Pevely, MO (May 9, 2009) After heavy rains pounded the area most of the day on Friday, Mother Nature brought beautiful weather on Saturday that provided some great racing action. In the U.M.P. DIRTcar Super Late Model division, Randy Korte of Highland, Illinois was on a mission after a tough outing two weeks ago at I-55 Raceway when his night ended with a twenty-second place finish. Korte started on the pole for the main event after winning the G&M Steel Dash earlier in the evening. Korte bolted to the lead at the drop of the green flag and led all twenty-five laps of the main event. Billy Laycock on Marine, Illinois made his first appearance of the 2009 racing season at I-55 Raceway and had a great night and was Korte's only serious threat during the main event. However, Laycock would settle for a solid second place finish. Tim Ratajczyk had his best outing of the 2009 season and claimed the third finishing spot. Jeff Johns would take the fourth spot with Brian Collins rounding out the top five.

Pevely, MO (April 25, 2009) A huge field of 119 racecars filled the pit area on a warm but very windy evening at I-55 Raceway. Twenty-seven UMP Super Late Models were on hand including central Illinois drivers Brian Shirley and Billy Drake. It proved to be a great night for Brian Shirley as he swept the night's events. Shirley took the lead at the drop of the green flag and led the entire event. The main event got off to a very rocky start as outside front row starter Craig Smith got into the outside wall exiting turn two adn then got sideways on the backstretch on the opening lap. The crash collected several cars and eliminated Billy Faust and Ron McQuerry from the event. On the complete restart, Shirley once again pulled out to the lead over new front row starter Jeff Johns who settled into second with Ed Dixon running third and Brent Kreke fourth. Just seven laps into the event, fifth place running Danny Haynes jumped the cushion and got into the outside wall in turn two. Dave Jumper made hard contact with him and the crash collected several others and ended the night for Haynes, Jumper and Randy Korte. During the caution, second place running Jeff Johns exited the track with mechanical issues. Brian Shirley would continue his great run after the restart and went on to victory. Ed Dixon would finish a strong second with Brian Collins taking third. Tim Manville stormed from the eighteenth starting position to finish fourth with Brent Kreke rounding out the top five.
