Pevely, MO (April 2nd, 2011) Great weather and a full field of cars in all four divisions greeted the fans for the season opener at I-55 Raceway. A total of 106 racecars filled the pit area with drivers from Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan on hand.
The UMP DIRTcar Super Late Models had twenty-seven cars checked in and it would be Nick Lyons of Centralia, Illinois coming out on top in a dominating performance. Lyons would take the lead at the drop of the green flag from his front row outside starting spot and would pace the field for the entire twenty-five laps enroute to the win. Pole sitter Jason McBride would settle into the second position and would also pull away and go relatively unchallenged for the second spot. The battle was on for the third spot throughout the entire twenty-five laps as Dewayne Kiefer battled first with Brandon Sheppard for the first half of the event and then with Brandon Thirlby in the late stages for the spot. Kiefer would be successful in his bid to hold off the challengers and would finish in the third spot. Thirlby would get the fourth spot with Rickey Frankel moving up to round out the top five. Tim Ratajczyk would get the sixth spot, then it would be Bobby Pierce charging through the field after starting sixteenth to finish seventh. Danny Haynes, Mark Voigt and Dave Jumper rounded out the top 10.

‘Party in Pevely’ at I-55 Raceway Falls to Freezing, Rainy Weather Outlook
PEVELY, Mo. - March 24, 2011 - Mother Nature just simply won't cooperate with the DIRTcar Roundup, better known as the Party in Pevely. After moving the event to March 24-26 at I-55 Raceway as a kick off to the DIRTcar UMP Racing season, officials have decided today that the weather outlook, which includes everything from freezing temperatures and snow flurries to rain, won't allow the event to be run this weekend.
The event designed to give the weekly warriors in eight divisions of DIRTcar UMP Racing - an event that was a vision of UMP founder Bob Memmer - launched in October 2008. Since then, the event has been impacted negatively by weather conditions.
Officials will explore options to relaunch the Party in Pevely. For those with reserved pit spots, call the track at 636-479-3219.
The 2011 season at I-55 Raceway will begin Saturday, April 2, with DIRTcar UMP Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, DIRTcar UMP Sportsman and DIRTcar UMP Pro 4 Stocks.

Pevely, MO (October 2nd, 2010) Danny Ems would simply dominate the Pure Stock division main event at the 9th Annual Bud Pohle Memorial. Ems took the lead at the drop of the green flag and went pretty much all twenty laps unchallenged for the win. Tommy Gegg would give chase for most of the event, but a mechanical problem would force Gegg to make a pit stop during a lap fourteen caution, forcing him to restart at the tail and take him out of competition. That setup a battle between Terry McCann and Tommy Gaither for the second spot and the two would fight it out for several laps with McCann coming out on top to finish in the second spot. Gaither would take third while Dennis Ponder charged from the tenth starting spot to finish fourth. Troy Bunfill would round out the top five.
