National Dirt Racing League Reschedules Postponed Events for This Weeks as “Let’s Get Dirty Tour” Opens at Paducah & St. Louis
…Pair of Races Bring the Biggest Stars of Short Track Action to Paducah Raceway Friday April 12th & Federated Auto Parts Raceway @ I-55 Saturday April 12th 13th
PADUCAH, KY (April 6, 2013) The stage was set last weekend for two of the biggest short-track racing events of the season, then Mother Nature put things on hold by raining out on both race nights. Now the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) double-header race weekend at Paducah Raceway in Kentucky and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri has been rescheduled and the green flag is set to wave next weekend with big money on the line for a host of America’s most talented dirt racing aces. The NDRL will kick off its inaugural season with these two must see $20,000 to-win events at Paducah Raceway on Friday April 12th in Paducah and then travel to the metro St. Louis area for the Saturday April 13th high speed slugfest at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely.
Tim Ratajczyk, Dean Hoffman, Dustin Homan & Andrew Wibbenmeyer take wins at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55!
Pevely, MO (April 6, 2013) - Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 opened up their 2013 season with some great racing action in all four divisions.
It was Tim Ratajczyk taking the victory in the UMP DIRTcar Late Model division. Ratajczyk would pace all twenty-five laps after holding off an early challenge from Dave Jumper and then fending off the charge from Randy Korte during the last half of the event. In the closing laps Korte would have his hands full trying to hold off Mark Voigt as they battled for the second spot. Korte would hang on for second with Voigt taking a close third. Dave Jumper would come across the line fourth just ahead of fifth place finisher Scott Weber.
Pittsburgh, PA (March 31, 2013) After inclement early spring weather washed away the NDRL's inaugural weekend. Series and track officials have announced the rescheduled dates of Friday, April 12 for Paducah International Raceway and Saturday, April 13 for Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55. The two separate $20,000 to-win feature events will be accompanied by two separate $2,000 to-win events for the UMP Modifieds.
'First I want to extend a huge personal thank you to all the NDRL fans, drivers,' NDRL founder John Kennedy stated, 'as well as our partners like Cody McCarver, Legendary Entertainment, PIR and I-55 who stayed with us through all of the poor weather conditions during our inaugural race weekend. Our entire team was committed to providing a great event for everyone, but mother nature simply would not cooperate. We felt we needed to reschedule as soon as we could and April 12 and 13 was the best we could do. We're looking forward to getting the season underway, just a little later than we expected.'
Tickets purchased for the NDRL's Inaugural Weekend for or at both Paducah International Raceway and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 will be honored at the gate. Please bring your ticket stub or wrist band (with legible serial number) to the track for re-entry on Friday, April 12 or Saturday, April 13.
Customers who pre-ordered tickets will follow the same guidelines as the original dates, MUST have Printed PayPal Receipt to pick up tickets at Will Call. No Exceptions!!
Pevely, MO (March 30, 2013) Officials with the NDRL as well as the Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 have postponed the $20,000 to-win 'Let's Get Dirty 75' after a mid-afternoon shower drenched the already saturated I-55 Raceway grounds.
Reschedule date information for the Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 event will be announced and posted at www.TheNDRL.com and www.i55raceway.com once a final decision has been made on the reschedule date and time for the $20,000 to-win blockbuster.
Pittsburgh, PA (March 26, 2013) Two of the most recognized names in the dirt late model industry, Muscatine, IA's Brian Birkhofer and Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR, are set to help the National Dirt Racing League kick off their inaugural season with two blockbuster $20,000 to-win events on March 29 and 30 at Paducah (KY) International Raceway and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, MO.
'I've never met (NDRL Owner) John Kennedy but I'd like to shake his hand,' said 2012 World 100 winner Brian Birkhofer about series founder John Kennedy. 'I applaud the guy for what he's doing and trying something that is financially stout.' Billy Moyer, a six time World 100 champion as well as a six time I-55 UMP Nationals Champion also commended Kennedy, 'He's sticking his neck out there,' Moyer said, 'He's trying to build something, I'm going to be there to support him in the first two and more than likely we're going to try to do all of them. I just have a lot of appreciation for a guy that steps up to the plate like that and has a $20,000 to-win one day show to win for a racer it doesn't get any better than that.'
