Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55's "GRAND FAN GIVEAWAY" on May 19th!!! Racers will want all their fans to show up that night!

On Saturday, May 19th, Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 will give one lucky fan $1,000 and that fan will get to choose his/her favorite driver to be given another $1,000!!!!

Here are the details and rules...

On May 19th, all fans 18 years old or older that buy a grandstand ticket will also get an additional ticket for a drawing for the $1,000...

That drawing will be held around intermission. The fan who's ticket is drawn will get to come down and select their favorite driver to win another $1,000... (Note: the driver does not have to be present, but must have raced at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 this season or more than 1/2 of the events last season!)

So drivers, you will want to get all of your fans to the track to increase your odds of winning!!

Pevely, MO (May 12th, 2012) - A solid field of 116 race cars filled the pit area at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.

This was the fifth night of competition in 2012 for the UMP DIRTcar Super Late Model division and Randy Korte became the fifth different winner. Outside front row starter Jeff Herzog took the lead at the drop of the green flag and used the high side to pace the early laps until Dewayne Kiefer found a fast line around the bottom and overtook Herzog. Kiefer was strong and opened up nearly a full straight away lead as the main event went the first sixteen laps without a caution. During that long green flag run, a massive battle ensued behind Kiefer as Scott Weber, Jason McBride, Randy Korte, Brent Kreke and Herzog battled fiercly for position. When the caution finally flew on lap sixteen, Weber had the second spot while Korte was running third. On the restart, Korte was use the middle to high side to work his way past Weber and Kiefer to quickly take the lead. Korte would pull away in the closing laps to pick up the victory. Kiefer would hold off Weber for a second while McBride would settle for fourth behind Weber. Ken Schrader would round out the top five.

Pevely, MO (May 5th, 2012) Scott Weber, Mark Miner, Troy Naeger, Danny Ems and Jacob Rexing all claimed feature wins on Saturday, May 5th at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55. Track crews had the 1/3 mile dirt oval prepped to be very fast all night long as well as being very smooth which allowed the drivers to race high, low or right down the middle.

With twenty UMP DIRTcar Super Late Models entered, Scott Weber would take command of the main event at the drop of the green flag. Weber would open up a small but comfortable lead in the early going. With the race having a long green flag run near the end, Weber would encounter lots of lapped traffic, many running the same line as he was. This allowed Dewayne Kiefer to move right in on his rear bumper as the laps were winding down. Weber made the decision to abandon his line and go to the high side to worked past the lapped cars that were holding him up. This turned out to be the right choice and allowed Weber to get away from Kiefer, who was trying to work past the slower cars on the low side. Weber would get the win while Kiefer held off the hard charging Randy Korte in the closing laps to get second. Korte, who was in sixth place with just six laps remaining, decided to move up to the high side and worked his way up to challenge Kiefer for second, but settled for a third place finish. Bobby Pierce would finish fourth while Billy Laycock rounded out the top five.

Pevely, MO (April 21st, 2012) - A big field of 130 racecars filled the pit area to compete on the high banks of Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 on what would turn out to be a very chilly evening. Competitors and fans were also able to keep up with the action on the new scoreboard that was just installed at the track as it let everyone know the lap count and the top five running order.
