Pevely, MO— August 4, 2009—Any World of Outlaws race at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri is a “Must See” event, as the high-banked 1/3-mile bullring provides some of the most thrilling action of the season on the circuit. The inaugural Ironman 55 on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8 will be no exception, as 15 laps will be added to the traditional distance of the finale at I-55 with $20,000 awaiting the winner of the grueling 55-lap A-Feature event on Saturday night. Leading up to the inaugural Ironman 55 at I-55, 55 reasons to attend the race will be offered in five groups of 11.

• The inaugural Ironman 55 at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri is up next for the World of Outlaws on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8. The finale of the event will be 55 laps of green flag racing with the winner earning $20,000 as the “Month of Money” continues for the World of Outlaws. After getting rained out in the spring at I-55, the Ironman 55 will be the series only stop of the season at the always racy, high-banked 1/3-mile bullring. In each of the last 14 events for the World of Outlaws at I-55, there has been a different winner. Last season at the track, Jason Meyers edged Craig Dollansky to pick up his first career win at the track which is co-owned by Ken Schrader.

The finale of the event will be 55 green flag laps with $20,000 awaiting the winner as the “Month of Money” rolls on for the World of Outlaws. The Ironman 55 will be the longest race in the modern era of the series, at one of the raciest tracks on the schedule, as 14 different drivers have picked up wins in each of the last 14 main events for the series at the track. Recently all the full-time World of Outlaws drivers shared their thoughts on the Ironman 55 at I-55 Raceway.
